Settled In

Hi me. I have finally resettled enough to begin again. Although I have never stopped working in the past year, I just haven't recorded much. I do enjoy having all my things at home. Working from one place really is easier - creatively, but a little more difficult - business wise. I am getting the hang of it. My favorite thing has been when people ask me to make them something out of something else! They have given me some wonderful items and asked me to change them so they can use them! My number one item is this purse! The lady had a belly dancing bra made in Las Vegas and wanted me to make a purse from it! Here it is! It's a sparkler!

Summer time

It's summer time and I can't believe it! It is taking me months not weeks to get all my things into my home from my studio! I have been traveling a great deal, though. But I need to get things in better order soon. I can't even find my camera! I do have a new and wonderful place to create fairies and have found several delightful little characters on my ventures! So looking forward to capturing them on camera!

Where have all the flowers gone?

Time is passing just too fast and the days go by unnoticed. So many have said those words to me and now I say them too. This month is being spent on moving the studio and so many of the things I love to do are sitting on a shelf. I imagine this whole month will go by without any significant entry for me. There are many memories of the times spent in my studio and as I pack I remember friends who came to visit and parties that were held there. It was a short time, but I know it was a complete time. And I have a sense that everything I was to do there, I did. I hope that one day when I look back on the whole of my life, I can say the same. Here's to new life - Happy Easter.

The Light of Day

I love the way the light shines into the sunporch.
We are getting ready to move the studio and the porch is the spot I'll miss the most. There are lots of hidden fairies in this picture! The little man in the chair only has one finger on his left hand. No one noticed that when we bought him. Because of which finger he has left, we decided a big flower would look real nice in his hand!

Overseer

This picture is the one I wanted to post in my header. I actually did post it for several days. But then the "shrink to fit" option became available and I thought it would be good to fit it into the banner size. Well, it hasn't worked yet. The image comes in huge! Much bigger than the header space, so I have given it up after many tries. The image won't come in normal again so I am publishing it on today's post. I love this corner of the room. The bird has a way of watching over the place, while it is very inviting to sit and watch the bird do that!

Tazie's friend

Here is Tazie's friend. She was created the same day Tazie was by my friend, Bevi. Stelza reminded me of a story about this little fairy. One day some of the ladies down the street wanted me to bring a few of my fairies over to visit. When I told Bevi that our fairies went on a trip that day, Bevi kept asking me if her fairy lost her fairydust. I kept saying "No, of course not." I thought Bevi meant all the glitter on her fairy. But the next day a little girl came into the studio and handed me a tiny bottle of fairydust and said she found it on the stoop and wondered if a fairy was missing it! If you click on the picture and look near her hand you might see the little bottle for yourself!

Another Introduction

Here's Tazie. She is the first fairy I ever created. She is a little on the wild side, but she was preparing to attend a Happy Halloween Party! There have been many comments about Tazie in the studio. One little girl, who came to visit, loved Tazie so much she wanted to take her home. While another lady took one look at Tazie and said "Oh my, this one's green with envy!" I, myself, like to think Tazie is just full of fun and always ready to have some!
